In the Galactic Map you cannot tell what type of economy a system has unless you have a Economy Scanner or you warp to it. You can purchase an Economy Scanner in Gek system from the Blueprint Trader in the systems' Space station. Create several trade routes of good systems so you can switch between them during recovery. It is unknown if other players influence each others prices. If you don't have many trade routes, make sure you scout the planets for the port with the best prices and the one with the highest production. Another thing is that when you have one, you can use the X key and select the far left option to then select "scan for trade buildings" .. those offer better payouts than space stations .. which is the whole point of trying to focus on trade one would think.
